First time doing an official triathlon event having completed a 'do it yourself' event previously. What a great event, perfect for beginners to try Triathlon, if you are thinking about giving it a go take the plunge you'll love it! Well organised and a great event experience! The words of encouragement at every check point brought a smile to my face through some of the pain I was feeling. First Triathlon. Awesome beginners event, pool system was effective, transition area had plenty of space, good fast bike route and the run was a mix of trail and path! Brilliant event, helpful staff and overall a good day!

The organisers were so helpful and friendly. Marshalls were so supportive and lovely. The lake was amazing. Course routes were well mapped out and pleasurable to ride/ run. I have already recommended this on Facebook to my club. I had an amazing time and would definitely come back. Thank you to all involved to make this happen. Also, as an aside- love the design of the medal.

Great event for all ages and abilities well marshalled and good briefings for all age groups. Ewan really enjoyed the whole event lots of smiles from him and other competitors

Ultimate Quarter Triathlon - 2024

This was a very well-organized event. Registration was seamless, and the other facilities were great. The lake swim was very pleasant. The bike course was fast and easy to navigate, with marshals at all junctions and good signage for the different races using the same roads. The out-and-back run was nice on a closed country lane, a little undulating but nothing too sharp that would sap the momentum from your tiring legs

York Triathlon - 2023

This was my 4th time at York triathlon. Great signage to car park, registration, transition and to the pool. Everybody was friendly and helpful. Very compact venue through both transitions, and closed roads on the laps on the bike and run were very welcome. Nice to have age groups go up in every 5 years with prize and goody bag, so many venues go in 10 years up to vet 50s only. Only one negative point, Ha ha, my run was rubbish! Hopefully be there next year.
